Aims & Scope

The journal will cover a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Indigenous, African, Latinx, and Asian diasporic knowledge systems and methodologies in sport management.
  • The impact of colonial legacies on sport structures and policies in the Global South.
  • Intersectional analyses of gender, race, class, and additional social identities that have been subjected to marginalization in sport within the Global South context.
  • Research on sport for development, empowerment, and activism in the Global South and from Global South people connected to sport.
  • Critical examinations of global and local physical activity, health, and well-being discourses.
    • Interdisciplinary Approach:

      We value cross-disciplinary perspectives. Submissions intertwining sport management with sociology, cultural studies, ethnic studies, history, feminist theory, anthropology, psychology, economics, philosophy, political science, or other relevant fields are highly encouraged.

      We are pleased to inform our contributors that this journal do not charge any fees for article submission, processing, or publication. This policy reflects our commitment to removing financial barriers and promoting inclusive academic discourse. Authors retain full copyright of their work, allowing for unrestricted sharing and dissemination of their research.
