Subgenres (for fiction): surprise us!

We are welcoming submissions for our first issue. We accept nonfiction op-eds situated in the genre, analytical essays, hybrid works, poetry, and book /show reviews. We’re curious to hear what writers are thinking about bodies under siege, climate fiction, and alternate worlds that could be our own one day, alongside all the other questions that science fiction usually engages with. We accept reprints, as long as they are properly credited with the original place(s) of publication but cannot at this time accept translations.

All we ask for, upon acceptance, is the non-exclusive right to host your work on ScholarWorks, a university-affiliated platform. ScholarWorks is a publishing platform, a preservation service, and a display for the research and scholarly output of members of the UMass Boston community and beyond.
