Abstract
This capstone document outlines a detailed project that is ideal in the Instructional Design setting. This document follows all the phases that is required in approaching any learning intervention from planning to execution. It focuses on designing and developing an online course that will be hosted on the Institute’s training portal. Just like in any institute, training its employees is very crucial for its smooth functioning. Similarly, in a medical research institute, one of the main goals is to equip researchers with all aspects such that they can successfully conduct their research and help achieve the research institute’s mission. MGH’s Division of Clinical Research (DCR) located in Boston designs and develops several online programs to meet the needs of their research community. These training needs arise from either the stakeholders, and/or different hospital departments, and/or directly from any research coordinators who are the audience for this training.
