Gerontology is a rapidly expanding field that focuses on the study of aging processes and aging populations. The Gerontology Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston offers interdisciplinary graduate programs that bridge theories, concepts, and research methods drawn from the social, behavioral, and policy sciences. Together with the Gerontology Institute, we comprise one of the country's leading centers for the academic study of social gerontology.
