Abstract
After a devastating cancer diagnosis, Amanda Robinson and her family reunite in their Texan hometown to face treatment. In operating rooms, radiation sessions, barbecue fundraisers, and megachurch congregations, the fractured family confronts their conflicting beliefs and finds support in unexpected places. THE LIVABLE FOREST offers a varied portrait of illness from the point of view of a patient, a family, and the healthcare workers who care for them.
