Abstract

Shadow of the Vietnam War on the Persian Gulf Senate Debate of 1991 is a critical examination of the Senate Debate to go to war against Iraq in the early 1990s. It analyzes the effect the Vietnam War had on this Senate decision to use force and the ways that the President H.W. Bush dealt with the Vietnam Syndrome in domestic American politics.
