Abstract
The following pages are from a novel-in-progress set in 1970’s Turkey. A medical student falls in love with a Marxist, while his best friend becomes involved in the activities of the ultra-nationalist group, Grey Wolves. The selected chapters presented in this thesis are the beginning of the first of the multiple plotlines, involving political violence, international intrigue, police corruption, friendship, loyalty, and love.
