Latin American and Iberian Studies

The Latin American & Iberian Studies Department explores the languages, literatures, and histories of Spain, Portugal, Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as the millions of people of Hispanic descent living in the United States. Housed in the College of Liberal Arts, this department prepares students to acquire proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese, to gain degrees in Latin American, Spanish Language, or Portuguese Studies.
