Abstract
23-year-old surfer girl Robyn “Robbie” Rizzo appears to have a lot going for her—she’s working at a high-profile corporate law firm in LA, fielding law school acceptance letters, dating fellow East Coast-transplant and walking green flag Landon Donahue, and taking advantage of LA’s lively night life and local surfer scene. What could possibly possess her to suddenly leave her job, her boyfriend, and the West Coast for home? After driving across the country in a manic high, Robbie is pulled over for reckless driving in her hometown on Cape Ann, Massachusetts. Broke and a little bewildered by her own choices, Robbie moves back into her childhood home with her estranged blue-collar father where she must confront the relationships she's tried to run away from, the decisions she's made, and the chemical imbalance that supposedly set it all in motion.
