Abstract
This group project presents Let’s Focus with AI, a web-based classroom tool designed to help educators monitor and better understand student focus and engagement during instruction. The application allows teachers to record anonymous focus check-ins on a 1–5 scale, identify lesson phases such as lectures, discussions, and group work, and optionally monitor classroom sound activity. The dashboard provides information about focus patterns by minute, lesson phase, and day of the week, along with plain-language insights and CSV data export. Designed with privacy in mind, the application stores information locally within the teacher’s browser and does not require a server or user account. The project demonstrates a practical application of technology and AI-informed tools to support educators in recognizing classroom engagement patterns while considering student data privacy.
