Abstract
This presentation explores the role of career identity and leadership development in helping students navigate an increasingly AI-driven professional landscape. It introduces a framework for understanding career identity through interests, skills, motivation, experiences, and professional roles, while examining the importance of maintaining individual identity when using artificial intelligence tools. The presentation emphasizes role-based career identity as a strategy for helping students establish direction, develop leadership skills, and remain competitive in the job market. Through an interactive co-design activity, career advisors work in teams to develop career workshops or mini-projects using search engines and AI tools, considering student roles, instructional processes, progress checkpoints, tangible deliverables, and other elements of program design.
