Abstract

A case study that investigates energy policies implemented in Massachusetts through the Global Warming Solutions Act and the Green Communities Act. This paper seeks to answer whether or not these policies are having a significant impact on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in Massachusetts, and if they are sufficient to help reach reduction targets set through the legislation. Finally, it discusses what steps should be taken in the future to address climate change at the national level.
