Abstract
My thesis consists of poems that tackle themes such as family, grief, trauma, mental health, and others. The first half delves into what happened to my father; his cancer diagnosis and subsequent passing. The second half is more about my own struggles concerning mental health, grief, and trauma. With these two halves together, my thesis is a narrative detailing how I cope with hardship and heartbreak surrounding my father’s untimely death.
