Abstract
This collection reimagines the author’s personal coming of age narrative. Using both confessional narrative and persona, the poems work together to upend common motifs of the bildungsroman, such as sexuality and identity. Ultimately, this body of work attempts to deconstruct the traditional and largely masculine legacy of coming of age, giving life to the perspective of female identified bodies as they undergo the same questions and pursuits.
