Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy
John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies
University of Massachusetts Boston

The Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy is committed to advancing women's participation in public life. Recognizing the talent and potential of women from every community, and guided by the urban mission of an intellectually vibrant and diverse university in the heart of Boston, we seek to expand the involvement of women in elective and appointive office. We also seek to teach women the skills needed to develop public policies and lead public policy initiatives that will better the status of women their families, and their communities. The center addresses these objectives through a combination of graduate educational programs, research and public events, always keeping the intersection of gender, race and class central to our programs.
